A proud venture of The Custom Made, our journey began in 2017, rooted in the heart of Varanasi, where craftsmanship is a way of life. What started as a small workshop creating handmade jute bags soon transformed into a brand with a mission.
In 2019, inspired by India’s “Say No to Plastic” initiative, The Custom Made took a bold step forward, expanding across India with a commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly alternatives. Our vision became clearer— to replace plastic with natural, biodegradable materials and promote skill-based artisanship.
As our handcrafted jute and canvas bags gained recognition nationwide, so did our responsibility to take this movement beyond borders.
Now, in 2025, we introduce Shop In Souk—a global extension of our mission, dedicated to bringing India’s artisanal heritage to international markets.
